Collective intelligence

The ability to pool knowledge and compare notes with each other towards a common goal. Collective intelligence is all about sharing information and generate information. A good statement for Collectivie Intelligence is: “Everyone knows something, nobody knows everything!”

Tagging and hyperlinking are both a form of collective intelligence. With tagging you “put” a label at for example a photo so other people can find it. A hyperlink is kind of reference in a document to another section of the same document or to another document that may be on or part of a (different) domain.

Tips for discussion:
- What kind of tags should you place at a video or pictures?
- Think about the fact that people can review and rank your content (it won’t always be nice!)
